APMR – SPINAL & SKELETAL PAIN MEDICINE
A comprehensive and intensive training program in diagnosis, operative, and conservative management of adult degenerative and traumatic conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine in a highly specialized spinal & skeletal practice. The program offers extensive training with two Physiatric Interventional Spine Specialists. The spine practice performs 1,800 to 2,000 procedures per year.
POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE
The program offers State of The Art training in comprehensive evaluation and management of spinal and skeletal disorders and pain syndromes. This program combines inpatient pain rehabilitation program with heavy emphasis on outpatient musculoskeletal and interventional pain medicine. Time will be split evenly between evaluating patients and assisting in spinal procedures.
Fellows will build skills and knowledge of the indications and techniques for performing a wide array of interventional procedures, including C/T/L steroid epidurals, facet injections, selective nerve root injections, RadioFrequency Lesioning, peripheral nerve blocks, C/T/L discography, IDET, Nucleoplasty, spinal endoscopy, implantation of trial spinal cord stimulators, medical acupuncture, BoTox Injections, prolotherapy, epidural adhesiolysis, trigger point injections and EMG/NCV.
In addition the fellow may participate in clinical and basic science research.
Applicants must have completed an residency program in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, be certified, or be board eligible, as well as passed the written portion of the PM&R Exam.
